Congratulations to Jaclyn Stewart who was chosen to be the lead role in a short film about a dancer "From Sarajevo"

Jaclyn Stewart was chosen to be the lead for a short film based on the life of Lejla Bajramovic, a ballet dancer who grew up in war torn Sarajevo and immigrated to Canada.

Also appearing in the film are dancers Victoria Nichols, Isabelle Tosh and Lilah Nezan.

"I would love for viewers to take away a sense of hopefulness from this" said Director, Producer and Co-Writer of From Sarajevo, Kristen McNaule, during an interview for the film's broadcast on CBC's Reel Shorts 2018. "I think people can endure really strenuous situations and hardships if they are given a chance ... People need to be given chances in life in order to succeed."  Kristen encouraged viewers: "Keep focusing on your dreams and keep pursuing them."
